Dr. Mark Williams struggled with the possibility that his chosen medical specialty—at the time, either cardiac surgery or neurosurgery—would make it impossible for him to carry out the ministry he had been called to. Otolaryngology was recommended by a colleague during his doctoral studies. After much prayer, it became clear that the best way to combine music, ministry, and medicine would be to treat voice issues and provide information on vocal care.
